About Dr. Faith

Dr. Faith Dumm grew up in Nicktown and practices close to home because she wants to make a difference in her own community. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in biology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, then completed her DVM at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee, in 2025, earning a Master of Business Administration alongside it in a dual-degree program. She treats cats, dogs and rabbits and is steadily expanding into reptiles and birds.

Dermatology is where she shines, from canine allergies to flea bite dermatitis in cats, a painful condition that can usually be solved and kept from coming back with a little client education, along with abscesses in small mammals. Cats are her favorite patients. “They either will tolerate you doing your examination or will tell you enough is enough,” she says, and she respects that directness.

Client education is what she's most passionate about, and she wants every owner to understand what's going on with their pet and all of their options. At home she and her fiancé, Rick, have a dog named Henry and a rabbit named Larry, and she spends her free time with family and friends.

On preventive care

“Flea and tick products, spaying and neutering, and keeping rabies vaccines up to date can save you a lot of heartache and money down the road.”
